The sun was shining, the wind kept us cool, the smiles were plentiful, the laughter was contagious, the challenges were imaginative, the food was great, the John Abbott College campus was inviting and we were 210 strong! What more could we ask for?
Thank you so much for making this Treasure Hunt so successful. We are thrilled to announce that we raised $33500, the most we have ever raised at a Treasure Hunt, and for that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Laura Loebenberg, reminded us how a cancer diagnosis changes lives and how VOBOC is very present in her life and the lives of other adolescents and young adults throughout their journey. Nadège St-Philippe gave us hope, hope that many of us that experience cancer will be able to rebound and be the best that we can.
The many event sponsors ensured that we could treat all participants and volunteers to a tasty breakfast and lunch, decorate the campus and distribute great prizes. We would like to encourage you to favor the vendors that supported the Treasure Hunt for Life and invite you to check out their names on our Sponsor Page by clicking on the ‘Sponsors’ button below.
A special thank you to Pro-Tam and their 15 teams clad in purple t-shirts, joining us again this year to honor the memory of their colleague Sarah Labelle who passed away last October.
Thank you to all participants, donors and volunteers that contributed to the success of our 2015 Treasure Hunt for Life, raising funds that will help VOBOC to continue to work with the medical teams of seven McGill University affiliated teaching hospitals to help bring services to support adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients throughout their cancer journey.
